A wierd problem( Howto make programms work under normal user)


Im used to work under root and last night installed alot of programms under root with swaret..

But now, if i want to use some of the installed programs( exp swaret ) it says unknow command etc, can i make those programms work under the normal user someway?

You probably don't have the directories they're in in your PATH variable. The programs you have problems with are probably installed in /sbin or /usr/sbin. To check if that's the problem, run (as your normal user)
export PATH=$PATH:/sbin:/usr/sbin
and then, from the same console, try to run one of them. If it works, add the command above to /etc/profiles or any other starting script.
