A question about using SQLPLUS

I installed the oracle client. The database name is corcivt with username 'test' and password 'test'.

Now I try using sqlplus to connect to this database as fllow:
Code:
sqlplus /nolog
and then
Code:
connect test/test@corcivt
But I got error as follow:
Code:
ERROR:
ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specified
It seems I have to do some configuration. But where?

Can you paste the output of your tnsnames.ora file?

Stuart.

Sorry, I have to make some correction. The client is remotely. So the access to the database is remote accessing.

I solve the problem now.
