A picture comparision program?

Hi ya
Enybody know if there is some soft that will compare 2 images ?
All I need it shows a %-tage of match. Wery simple.
I just don't want to program it myself ....

thx

That's simple?? that's a horribly tricky thing to get right... Internet search companies have tried numerous times to get something to do that, and generally always failed miserably.

OF course, that really depends on WHAT you are comparing.... there are many ways of computing the distance metric between two images....
you can do it pixel-bypixel then computing the mean-square-difference...
or you can extract features of the image (such as DCT retrieval or Fourier Transforms)
and still, you can compare based on edge detection....

i highly doubt that there is an existing app to do these, and programming them yourself IS quite a tedious job....

Thx for replies.

I meant about a simple pixel by pixel stuff ;) as I will compare using thumbnails.
Really no idea?
