Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide
This guide was created as an overview of the Linux Operating System, geared toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide, with exercises at the end of each chapter.
For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

That may be so....and i love clarkconnect...but all that aside...he didnt ask for this.He asked for an ftp that uses gui...so he can better work with it i assume. To give someone a firewalldistro just because it has web based ftp....when they asked for gui ftp is too funny

if no one knows of a stand alown one but nows of a distro that is nice that has one that can work as a http ftp and game server plz tell me.
and it also need to be easy to work with
i'd be pretty sure that webmin has access to proftpd and other common servers.
generally speaking server software will not have a main gui at all... there's just plain no need for them, and so the developers of said servers aren't exactly fussed about it. there are tho 3rd party packages that can fongiure these for you, i.e. webmin, which i hate with a big stick.
