well I'm having problems installing it. I keep getting gcc error I need to update it so how do I update the gcc?
Actually I got the latest GCC 3.3.2. Now I'm having a problem installing GCC into the comp. |
Does one of these media players support itunes style radio?
I tried using xine to play video formats but there is only video no sound.
Why is that? |
something is wrong with your codecs (not installed, etc). make sure you install the w32codec rpm. otherwise, make sure your vid card is also installed correctly
The win32 codecs are installed, what else could it be?
What distro and vid card do you have? i had a problem similar to that with xine using red hat on my radeon 9700pro for awhile till i switched to slack and it worked perfectly.
I am using Mandrake 9.1 and my video card is a sis630. My sound card is cmedia8738.
cant say i know a lot about mandrake, just that its similar to red hat as far as being system V. No advice there, just usually when you get only sound out of a video, its a codec issue. Have you done searches on this elsewhere?
beejay - Mandrake can use terminal URPMI commands to snatch updates, codecs, etcetera for programs and applications. I snagged my copy of mplayer with skins and codecs just by punching in various URPMI commands. Perhaps you could give that a shot and see if you can get some codexs for your player.
