A little Gaim problem
 
Ok, Gaim says it supports a load of different instant messengers. One of them includes AOL but it has got some problems with the AOL support. My girlfriend uses AOL cause she's stuck with crappy dial-up, and when we talk online, she get's like every 3 of my messages and I get like every other one of hers. It's so strange. Any solutions?

Very strange. Have you tried installing another version?

Are you using the "new" OSCAR protocol, the older version is deprecated.

use the following server, if it's not by default your gaim server already -

login.oscar.aol.com port 5190

donno if that helps or not

alternatively, you can download the latest gaim, http://gaim.sf.net
