A inventory Management software that is not server based?

Hello
Almost all of the inventory Management apps I found are either online, server based or not open-source.

Does anybody know of an open source app that avoids those three things? preferably geared for small business.

Thanks.

I have no personal experience with any of them, but this article lists several and may be a good starting point. http://blog.capterra.com/the-top-5-f...tware-systems/

A couple of them don't seem to meet your criteria (for example, one is cloud-based), but a couple of them may be worth a look.

A web search for "linux inventory management" should turn up more.

I have already done a lot of searching. But it seems such an app might not exist. They are either sever based or not opensource/free software. Maybe I need to develop one...

A couple of the ones at the link I posted seemed be available for single users to use on localhost.

Is it that you need a multi-user application or multiple machines or both? Expanding on what you are looking for may help persons more familiar with this type of software to provide more useful advice than I was able to provide.

Good luck in your search.

Right those localhost apps are still accessible only from a web browser?. which I would like to avoid. Actually I'm looking for something like GnuCash that is for inventory. Too many of these apps are too restricted or too large.

Of course its not A big deal if I don't find one. It would make a great project for me to program one myself
