A GNOME Aplication can run in others systems??

Maybe my questions sounds stupid, but i want to know if a GNOME glade-made aplication can run in others systems like FreeBSD, Solaris, something like that....

I'm starting to develop a software for GNOME, for a college course (Software Engineering I), and i need to specify the limitations in the SRS.

i have no experience with others OS than Linux and Windows, thats why i ask...

Thank you very much guys!

If you write it portably, generally the answer is yes, you can port it to FreeBSD with few problems.
