A few problems with fluxbox
Hi guys,
I've recently learned how to start configuring fluxbox to my liking, but a few things are keeping me from completely switching over from gnome:
The most annoying problem is that toolbar's in firefox, gimp (all of it actually), gaim, rox, and just about any other windowed program is not the same color as it is in gnome. It's much darker and grey'ish than normal. How can I fix this? I'm guessing it's a theme issue with gtk, since all those programs rely on it.
Also, is there a way to change the size of the fluxbox right klick menu? The themes I got from emerging fluxmod make the menu either too big or too small, is there something in the init script I can edit?
Here's a screenshot showing my problems: http://community.webshots.com/photo/...93382184gMEOKE
Thanx a lot

Do you mean the titlebar? If so, it has nothing to do with Gtk. It's set with fluxbox styles. In Fluxbox, Gtk themes effect only the contents of application windows (buttons, menu bars, etc), and not the window decorations (borders and titlebars).

As far as I know, this is determined by the size of the font used, also set in the style files. I haven't looked too far into 0.9.10 yet...there may be a way to change it in this version.

Thanx,
I actually mean whats below the toolbar. I've been reading around and I still think that fluxbox isn't picking up my gtk themes. Is there a program that switches or installs those themes in fluxbox?

For the fonts try a
grep font /path/to/<style you chose>
Cheers,

I've used an application called gtk-theme-switch that seems to work ok, although I don't have many themes installed to really see it work well. None of them seem to affect firebird at all, but i don't think I have any 2.0 themes.

Hm, crap.
Using gentoo sometimes makes you lazy... I just emerged corefonts, so I have no clue as to where my fonts are

Well, here's an answer for anyone who has the same problem:
I emerged gtk-chtheme and started it as user, and it picked up all the gtk styles which I had put in ~/.themes.
Fluxbox 0.9.10-r3 had some font problems, but -r4 should have resolved them. I just changed the font within the theme.cfg file within each individual theme.
