A couple fluxbox customization help plz.

Im trying to get my rxvt, or xterm to be transparent with some sort of color font. Thats one, and the other is how would I get this little app where theres a little box with different monitors that monitor either: harddrive activity, system heat sensor, ram usuage, swap usuage, and stuff like that. If you don't know what Im talking about, plz respond for more info. If you think u know, shot away. Thanx in advance!

i don't think xterm or rxvt have transparency. try out aterm or Eterm instead.

for the monitor app try gkrellm.

You can run rxvt with transparency, but it isn't compiled into the version that ships with Slack, so you have to recompile it. That being said, aterm is a better choice IMHO, since it has more customizing options, such as shading, fading, and tinting. Eterm isn't a good choice, again IMHO, especially for Slack, since it requires the Enlightenment libraries.

And sether is right, the monitor applet you're looking for is gkrellm. After you install it, run it in your slit by adding 'gkrellm -w &' to your .xinitrc or .xsession file before the call to fluxbox.

Enjoy!

just create either file, and add whatever you need inside.
