536ep modem HELP

Hello everybody!

I have modem using 536ep chip by Intel.

I'm using ubuntu 6.06 and kernel compiled by myself.

I download the driver from ,using gcc-3.4. Compile and load modules is successful.
And I can use minicom run lots of AT-command-sets,

The question is when I dial-out(ATDT),it show me No DialTone.....

I hope some one nice can help me ! Thank you !

I can't tell you whats wrong with ubuntu but the same thing was happening to me in Mepis 3.4 and then I upgraded to Mepis 6.0 and everything works fine now.

Which kernel version and gcc version are you using now to run the 356ep?
