3dfx and rendering

(II) Loading /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/libGLcore.a
(II) Module GLcore: vendor="The XFree86 Project"
compiled for 4.1.0, module version = 1.0.0 Hi!
I have Mandrake 8.1 and 3dfx voodoo3 3000 videocard. Rendering is off according to glxinfo. GLX ,DRI and Mesa are in use. So what's up.
I cant use my Flight Gear anymore it's so slow now. I installed glut.h if I remember right. After that rendering has not been in use. Can I just remove that glut.h that I installed via software manager? I cannot remove it with software manager.

You might want to ask this type of question in the Installation Forum, as this forum is reserved for questions regarding the site itself. Plus you'll get a quicker reply most likely in the correct forum.
