3d Studio Max on Linux, is it possible?

I tried loading it with crossover, but it states that it requires internet explorer 6.0 or higher to install, so i installed IE 6 with crossover, but crossover keeps giving me that same error message, is there a different way? and i don't want to use blender, i'm very fluent in 3ds max and don't have the time to learn a new program yet, i just want to run it in a more stable environment.

As far as I know, but not as deep as you do, povray modeler has a similar look to the 3DSMax. Just give it a look at:http://www.povray.org/
