3D image conversion software?
who knows of a nice software that someone can use to convert a scanned image (i.e mouse, keyboard, etc) into 3D image?
or any software that can do similar thing?

There is some work going on in this area but all I know of is alpha software that is generally not a lot of fun to install.
There is something here.You can upload pics and have them converted ur install it.

There is Windows software, Facegen: www.facegen.com, and Microsoft (!!!) is making something called Photosynth: http://labs.live.com/photosynth/default.html. I haven't yet heard of Linux equivalents  (

I've seen this tutorial for Blender which attempts to do what you are asking, although I have never attempted this.

Depending on what you are trying to model, I don't think it will be easy as it is pretty much a manual process.
