3D graphic rendering
Hi everyone,
I would like to know is there anyone familiar with 3D graphic rendering on High Performance Cluster (HPC)? What is the popular software that is used to achieve this? Thank you. Regards, Keong |
Wowsers. I have no idea if this will help on a high-performance cluster, but I do 3D on my regular old i686s with either POVray:
http://www.povray.org/ POVray has a modeler front-end that comes bundled with KDE, called KPOVmodeler. Easy as anything to learn, and you can still use POVray from the command line. and Blender: http://www.blender3d.org/cms/Home.2.0.html Blender is a full up animation studio. Recently used to make a movie, even! and there's also Maya 3D ported to Linux: http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet...112&id=6933692 And here's a whole slurp of Linux 3D graphics links: http://loll.sourceforge.net/linux/li...3D_/index.html HTH |
