3D Acceleration only works if log on as root first

Hi,

I just got 3D acceleration to work but the problem now is that it only works if i log on as root first. Any ideas why this is?

If it's any relevance: Fedora Core 3 + Xorg 6.7 + ATI Radeon proprietary driver.

Thanks.

Hello,

Well have a look at your /home/foo/.xsessions-errors to know more about why you can't login as user foo. There's also /var/log/Xorg.log which may give you useful informations
