32bit software on 64bit distro?

In a week or two, I am building a new computer, and my concerns for running a 64bit os where...(it will be an amd64)

when i run a 64bit(fedora)

will any 32 bit software work?

and how will compiling from source go?

thanks for any help!

also... have there been any issues with the x86_64 distros?

I want to use fc4 final.

ciao, martin!

i don't have an 64 bit os, but from what i've heard you shouldn't have a problem with 32 bit apps, and you should find a kernel with support for the 64 bits, but if not read a good tutorial on compiling a kernel...

you shouldn't have too many problems...
