32 bit installation problem kubuntu

i have recently thought it would be a good idea to experiment on a old computer of mine to install Kubuntu ver 5.10
I have made a iso cd, and boot up and load kubuntu, then type server to install next a message will appear "Your CPU does not support long mode. Use 32bit distribution"
How do i get around this problem i'm running a P3 800 running on windows XP 2002 service packets 2?

Seems to me that you are trying to run 64bit Kubuntu on a 32bit CPU. You need to download the image that says i386, not amd64.
