1&1 and mandrake 9.1
 

Hi,
I've downloaded and installed mandrake 9.1 but i can't go online. My Provider is the german 1&1... i configured my username to "1und1/xxxx-xxx@online.de" but why doesn't work it? I don't remember how this little proggie was named... Please help me.

What kind of error message are you getting? Do you have
modem support?

I don't know, there isn't showing much interesting... just "die verbindung konnte nicht aufgebaut werden" nothing more... please help me... what do you understand under modem support?

I now know more... so... i configged the internet connection at the control center with the proggie called "drak" or so... my eth0 works it sends and receives but when i want to test my internet connection it only sends packages but doesn't receive anything... there is a error with the program "net_monitor"... but how can i get online now? please help...

When you used the built in drak configuration tool, what security level did you set? Also, did you set up a firewall?
