[WINE] Microphone Mysteriously Busy

While toying around with WINE to attempt to get Half Life voice chat working, I get the following error upon launching Valve's voice chat tester:

err:wave:OSS_OpenDevice Couldn't open out /dev/dsp w/ 0 (Device or resource busy)
err:wave:OSS_OpenDevice Couldn't open out /dev/dsp w/ 2 (Device or resource busy)

The program itself then says it can't create a DirectSound device.

I'm using the ALSA drivers and have Full Duplex turned on in both the Wine config and the KDE X sound server control panel. If it matters, I think WINE was compiled before I switched the KDE control panel from OSS to ALSA (and checked the full duplex box).

Unmuting the microphone in the mixer and turning up the volume will result in whatever gets put into the microphone constantly coming out the speakers, so the microphone is fine. Muting the microphone and turning the volume to 0 still results in the same error in WINE, however.

Ok:

I switched my WINE config file to use winealsa.drv instead of wineoss.drv

The error no longer appears, however the voice tester program still aborts with a "couldn't find mic volume" error.
