i am trying to install a software (Lotus Notes) that uses
installshield during the installation

i've installed the last stable version of wine on my slackware 10.0

when i type

# wine notes...exe

it pop-up a window that extracts the files of the installation,
installshield start but during the configuration of window installer
there is an error "Internal server error" this is the log in the
shell:

Wine is a complicated issue -- have a look here:

There is a bit about installshield problems, and lots of other stuff re wine.

Delete your ~/.wine directory then run it like so:

WINEDLLOVERRIDES=msi,msiexec=n wine setup.exe

Alternatively purchase Crossover which does Notes out of the box.
