i have spamd running on my server, but when a few emails slip by, i want to be able to learn them on the server, instead of the desktop. i know spamc, and spamd can do this, but i am having no luck getting it to connect.
i can telnet to the port on the machine, so i know its open, i can run spamc on the server, and get a correct reading of a sample spam message, but when i try from the desktop.

spamc -d 192.168.1.101 -c <sample-spam.txt
it instantly returns 0/0 meaning it did not classify the sample as spam. same sample file on both server, and desktop.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
