[SOLVED]does koffice have micro$oft ^^ compatibility?

a long time ago when slackware 13.0 was released it came with koffice but it didn't have micro$hit compatibility so i couldn't save .doc files and now slackware 13.1 is out and i was wondering if koffice has now the compatibility.

Any particular reason you don't like OpenOffice ? It is a much more mature product and does what you want.

Also if you only need a word processor, I highly recommend abiword which can save to many formats including .doc and it has all the features you probably need while being lighter-weight than Writer.

is not that i don't like openoffice is just that slackware comes with kde as default DE so i would really like to use the applications that comes with it instead of installing more.

Koffice : I guess, it has the least compabilaty.
Abiword is better. ( But depends on some Gnome.)
Openoffice is very good → openoffice.org (3.2.0),
is a "Standard Slackbuilds.org package",
and it is in the 'repository/13.1'
http://slackbuilds.org/repository/13...penoffice.org/
