[Q] Keyboard stops working after KDE login
G'Day,
- I have just done a fresh install of Fedora Core 4 on a box - I am pretty sure I did not see this problem then - I then did a "yum update" - Now I can login in as user root or donovan into KDE with no problem - However when I log in with another valid user candice I am able to enter the username and password at the login prompt, but once the KDE desktop comes up the keyboard is non responsive. Ie If I try and type text in "Run Command" or "Kate" then nothing happens. Any suggestions / pointers etc. appreciated. TIA |
I have further narrowed this down:
- The keyboard is non responsive for that particular user - ie. Press letter "a" and nothing happens (in Kate) hold down letter "a" and eventually letter a appears and starts repeating - I have checked the keyboard settings for that user and they are the same as the users for whom the keyboard works |
G'Day,
- Solved It!!!! - *Somehow* the accessibility to use "slow keys" had been set for that user. Hence the long presses required - Unset that and all is good --D |
How to activate/deactivate slow keys
I am having a similar problem. How do you activate/deactivate slow keys?
