Hi...
I am using Slackware 14.0 and I am installed Wine.
I have a problem with symbol arrow on MS Office 2007.
I've added library on Wine configuration:
msvcrt(builtin)

riched20 (native, builtin)
rpcrt4 (native, builtin)
usp10 (native, builtin)

MS office dose not run well in WINE
never has and NEVER will
if you MUST use Microsoft's Office
then run it on a Microsoft Windows Operating system like it was DESIGNED to be used on
or
Install the NATIVE linux LibreOffice , OpenOffice, GoOffice
as to solving the problem
install windows 7
install the OLD MS office 2007 on Win7
or
install Libreoffice

well, I want to share a few my story.
Some time ago, I do my work using LibreOffice and I often print out the results of my work in internet cafes that use MS Office, when I saw the result printing really mess
That's why I use MS Office applications through WINE. As you know, just a little bit in my country that uses the Linux operating system

I would install the Microsoft true type fonts
"msttcorefonts" or the liberation fonts ( should be installed by default)
http://corefonts.sourceforge.net/
you will need to port the install instructions over to slackware , that should be easy
and the liberation fonts
https://fedorahosted.org/liberation-fonts/
have a Linux office program use them
and see how they print

You can also try Kingsoft Office. It's very similiar to MS Office experience and there is a bin version for linux being developed on.
For further info, look here

Well, it runs normally. I managed to do some basic editing which worked well.
I haven't tested any advanced features for now, but owerall, it feels stable.
There are several bugs that had been corrected with the last release and it's now heading to the 1.0.
Use it, test it, just give it a try.

Hi,
I have encountered similar problems as I generally mostly use LibreOffice for my work, but also have to exist in a world that thinks MS is what everybody uses. One thing that you might try is creating your document using LibreOffice, then export it to PDF for printing in an internet cafe. This way your formatting will be preserved.
