[CentOS] Need help~ Can't install new gedit plugins
I thought it should be simple...
Follow the directions on line : " put the files in either the system-wide plugins directory /usr/lib/gedit-2/plugins/, or in the user plugins directory, which may need to be created, ~/.gnome2/gedit/plugins/ " eg, I copied the file for codecomment(from the gedit-plugins package) to both(either) of the two directories above, but none of them works. I also tried other plugins and chmod the file & directories to 755, still can't load new plugins after restart gedit..:( http://code.google.com/p/ld-gedit-code-comment-plugin/ Thanks for the help~ |
Not a direct answer, but Kate (kdrsdk package) is available in the repository, have more feature and commenting is "CRTL+D" and "CTRL+SHIFT+D" to uncomment a line. It also can edit remote files without coping them with a variety of protocols like ftp, sftp, ssh/scp, webdav, html and much more using the KIO feature. Konqueror, the swiss knife can also embed kwrite/kate directly in the file manager for quicker edit (but still have commenting/uncommenting feature). I hope this will help if you can't get Gedit to work.
