[amarok/xine] where is config file located?

I changed mono and stereo settings of xine from amarok - configure amarok - engine - xine. Now I can't reset those mono and stereo settings via that panel since it says "xine was unable to initialize any audio-drivers". Is there some config file from where I can fix this problem? I read xine documentation and there was mentioned ~/.xine/config file but I don't have one.

From a console, give the command 'ls -a' to see hidden folders/files. If you still done see .xine as a hidden folder, then run xine (from menu or command line). That will create a default .xine with a default config file which you can edit. Set your preferences while xine is running to have them included in the config, then edit.

I have .xine but it contains only catalog.cache file. xine from command line says "command not found". I have installed only amarok-xine package.
