[ Debian + kernel 2.6.7 + grsecurity + ATI drivers ]
hello,
I'm having an problem that you perhaps maybe be helpful.. I upgraded my kernel to 2.6.7 and I have an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro so I installed the ATI drivers on the XFree86 (I'm thinking moving to Xorg) and then I made a new entry to the lilo (for testing propose) and I had compiled grsecurity but I had an problem.. In the forum of the grsecurity (sorry but I can't post the url for now.. I need 5 posts to replay the url) they said: "ATI's driver is compiled outside of the X distribution tree, though, which means that compiling X itself with USE=static makes no difference. You need to modify the X distribution to include the ATI driver before compiling it statically, and the monolithic X tree is not exactly easy to work with." So I'm here to you can explain me how to do it or here can I find something like that.. because I search on google but I can't find anything like that.. Anyone can help? Please?.. That's for the help! [[]] |
