'df -h' shows dashes instead of stats

Hi. I'm getting weird output from the df command on only one of my machines; it works fine on three others.

Here's what I get from df -h:

Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/hda2 228G 73G 144G 34% /
none 1.9G 0 1.9G 0% /dev/shm
machine1:/dir1 523G 255G 242G 52% /mnt/modeling
machine1:/dir2 1.1T 425G 573G 43% /mnt/model2
/dev/sda1 917G 255G 616G 30% /mnt/hw1TB
machine2:/exports/share00
- - - - /nas_vol1

Can anyone explain why I see the dashes on the last line instead of usage statistics? The machine that's having problems is the newest one; the kernel is 2.4.21-37.0.1.EL.

Thanks a lot!

Just a gut-check, assuming nas_vol1 is a Network Area Storage volume, are you sure you're properly connected to it??
