Question yum through internet


hi

am using rhel5 as my server. I configured yum local repository every thing is fine.

when i tried to take some rpms online like (openoffice) am unable to
get.
here is my repo file

[Server]
name=RHEL5
baseurl=http://infrastructure.fedoraproject.org/rhel/rhel-i386-server-5/
gpgcheck=0

[VT]
name=RHEL5
baseurl=http://infrastructure.fedoraproject.org/rhel/rhel-i386-server-vt-5/
gpgckeck=0




plz can any one help me out
i appreciate for any help

also for RHEL 5.3 you might want to contact your paid for tech support

unless this is the unsupported version them you are better off using CentOS 5.3

You've put Fedora repos in for a RHEL system. That won't work. You either have paid support from RH, in which case the repos should get set automatically to point to RH and you register using rhn_register, or you go with Centos as suggested, which will also auto-point to the Centos repos.

They seem to be RHEL repos from the URL Chris, but they also say forbidden when I try to past them into my browser, so it would be my guess that you need to authenticate to use them. Chris's comment on support still applies.
