Did you bother to try to open the link in a web browser? What you posted is incorrect...a very quick look at the site tells you the correct path is:
Code:
http://mirror.centos.org/centos-5/5/os/i386/repodata/

The directory 'repodata' is present, but no packages for "5" any more.

Suggest : Use a '5.7' baseurl in /etc/yum.repos.d/<repo-file> :
http://mirror.centos.org/centos/5.7/os/i386

this is a problem . And this is rhel 5 i am guessing and you did not pay for it .

if you are NOT converting this rhel install into a CentOS install then you need to pay for it and buy the required license
http://www.redhat.com/support/subscription-benefits/

If you ARE converting a rhel install into a CentOS install then fallow the migration guide on the wiki
http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/Migrat...=%28migrate%29
