I have a gateway G6-333c that i want to turn into a server

I think the specs are
64 megabytes of of PC133 SD-RAM
333 Mhz Intel Pentium II or Celeron processor
ATI Rage Pro with 4 MB of onboard RAM video card
8 gigabyte hard drive

also if anyone knows were a data sheet with motherboard information is that would be helpfull

I would, just for clarity, put your question in your post as well.

If you're going for a server build, there is only really one option - the latest (and hopefully greatest), Ubuntu Server 12.04 LTS.

I would junk it. Pentium 2 with 64mb RAM is not usable hardware in 2012.

Here are the minimum recommended specs for Ubuntu Server:

I have to agree. A newer machine will also likely use less power, especially if you go with an Atom or other low-power processor -- which you should if you just want to replace a simple server.
