I think they are both good. But we are mostly a EMC shop using the CX500, CX4-240 and the greatest VNX 5300. We are really happy with the new vnx because you can now tell data, Hey I need you to go from tier 3 (SATA) to Tier 1 (Fast Cache SSD) drives because of performance. Plus it was only 46K for Trainig, The VNX with 6 TB of space including 3 or 4 SSD enterprise drives.
Plus if you have remote sites you can use their vnxe line witch starts at around 9,000 and can scale up all the way to 120 TB. Again this is just my Opinion. If you don't have expierence with either product I would really take a look at how much management each will require and what the learning curve will be.
