Where to find information about www.website.com/~username/

www.website.com/~username/ (it will become www.website.com/username/ after press enter in address bar) has a personal web page, but it is old and I need to remove/disable it. (The server is an old Solaris).

I looked into the file structure of the website. If I am not missing anything, I couldn't find any .htaccess. (It may not be htaccess redirect at the end)

Could someone point me out where I should look into? e.g. Apache config?

Yes, apache config. The "~" urls are managed by UserDir configuration variable - http://httpd.apache.org/docs/1.3/mod/mod_userdir.html and the other one is probably an Alias - http://httpd.apache.org/docs/1.3/mod/mod_alias.html
