where is my samba user???

I am running centos 5.1 and have all the default samba packages installed including the graphical. I am using the system-config-samba...I first added a user to linux called sambauser1 and gave a password. I then in the gui went to add a user and selected that user..gave a windows name as the same name and the same samba password I had given the regular sambauser1 user. ok. I try to share a directory with the "only allow access to specific users" but it does not see the user I have just added...btw I check the /etc/samba/smbusers and the user is in fact in there...so what gives? I restarted smb and same thing...so I share it for everyone ok...but how come I cant see or select the user that I added...the user is there in my smbusers...and I added it from the gui app...thanks...

btw when I add a regular user to linux and then do a smbpasswd -a "that user I just added" it is not creating that user in my /etc/samba/smbusers file. so it does create it but then cannot see it or use it) with the gui samba app and from the command line its not even getting added...ok apart from some of my hair...what am I missing here??? am I missing some rpm or something?

I don't know what to tell you, but I have noticed this when I tried it on my Ubuntu server awhile back ago. I have no idea where SAMBA stores the user accounts or user passwords. I don't know if all distros do this, but I remember reading that Ubuntu does it a different way. Perhaps this is the case with CentOS? It was kind of annoying for me because I wanted to migrate my SAMBA users to another server.
