what happened to phorecast?

I was told about this aparently amazing PHP application in a n O'Reilly book, a fairly recent one too.... but cannot seem to find any trace of the existance of the program.

O'Reilly lists it as http://www.phorecast.org - but that is just an advertising page, the domain obviously expired or something. A few websites still list the project as active and that as the URL. Sourceforge has no records matching phorecast.... I am at a loss.

If this project is completely gone forever, can anyone tell me about a PHP application that did the same as phorecast.

For you that do not know what phorecast was.. it was a complete PIM system. Incorporating email, calanders, contact and event management systems. I know I can pretty much this in SquirrelMail and we alrady use a heavily customised version already.. but I need a calander/even manager that allows me to select associated contacts from the contact list for each event. If you know of any system like this, would be glad if you can let me know.

Thanks in advance.

Matt
