what does 80.23.134.123 8:0 mean?

Hello!

I am getting this log when I use ngrep:

Code:

173.12.12.224 -> 80.23.134.123 8:0
What does the 8:0 mean? Number after an Ip address are usually port numbers, but this doesn't look like a port number.

Thanks,
Murdock

It is the type/code specification of a ICMP packet. In your example it is type 8, code 0. See here for a complete list.
