Hi all. im trying to make my webserver do indexing or whatever the term is. What im trying to do is make it so that i can download anything from an y account, for example http://server.com/user/file.txt - how do i do that?

This is the error i saw in /etc/webserver/logs/error_log

[Tue Nov 27 18:33:51 2007] [error] [client 23.234.24.233] File does not exist: /usr/local/apache2/htdocs/user

Any help? Thanx in advance@

Check out the apache DirectoryIndex Directive. Does the directory /usr/local/apache2/htdocs/user exist on your server?

No it doesnt, i should create it right? is there anything sophisticated i need to do?

EDIT: I read that article but it doesnt tell me how to enable this feature. It only explains what it does. So i'll keep it simple, how do i turn it on?
