Webapplication in Linux Server

HI,
I have developed a web application in dotnet. (asp.net ). I have to install that in a linux box is it possible?? Can i use the linux server to host my webapplication. THey have certain webapplcations running in linux server but they are all developed in php. SO i want to know if i could run my application in Linux server. If yes how do i do that and what web server i need in linux. Pls help me.

Frankly, apache does not support asp or asp.net applications natively. But there are certain modules which will allow you to run asp.net applications on Linux using apache. One of them mod_aspdotnet. Also look at mono project.

I think open suse is now capable of hosting asp.net? correct me if i'm wrong.

Not just openSuse, but any distribution with the help of Mono Project (child of Novell, I guess) can support it.
