vsftpd installation

Dear Friends,
I'm beginner in linux. Several time I'm trying to setup vsftpd and trying to configure. But every time I failed. My requirement are as follows;

I want to setup a ftp server where have the following features;
# 3 type User (Administrator, Executive User & Normal User)
1. Administrator user can access any user folder. But his folder is hidden from others.
2. Executive User can view only others folder but only access permission in his folder.
3. Normal User can only view executives folders

I don't know this place is right / wrong for my post. So, if this is not the right place then I'm extremely sorry. But please help me for the above problem.

This is less of a ftp server setup issue and more of a permissions issue. It would be helpful if you posted up what you had already in the configs/permissions and what you've been able to get working and what you haven't.

vsftpd installation

Thanks for reply.
Actually several time I'm trying to install vsftp to follow web help and RHEL official documentation help. But every time only I can active anonymous view. But clearly I can't satisfy.

1. Firstly I start vsftpd [root$ service vsftpd start]
2. Then edit vsftpd.config [root$ vi /etc/vsftpd/vsftpd.conf]
userlist_enable=YES (default)
userlist_enable=NO
3. Then add new user [root$ useradd user1
root$ passwd user1
New password: #####
Retype password: #####]
4. add user in /etc/vsftpd/userlist [vi /etc/vsftpd/userlist]
and add user1 in below the page save and exit script.

5. restart service [root$ service vsftpd restart]
6. then try to login as a ftp user [root$ ftp localhost
Name: user1
Password: #####
login successfully
ftp>]

But when I trying to see the page to browse through other computer as ftp site in Internet Explorer / FTP Client application then I failed. But Internet show anonymous view. When stop anonymous view to edit script /etc/vsftpd/vsftpd.conf [anonymous_enable=NO] then It's not showing. But It's not asking any username or password also.

Please help me out from this problem.
