vsftpd and write permission

I would like vsftpd not to dictate where a user can or can't upload a file and leave it to the system. I have a complicated samba+AD+getfacl setup where users can upload files if they have permission. But when I enable "write_enable=YES" in vsftp version 2.0.5's conf file, any user who don't have permission can also upload files. If I put "write_enable=NO", then the users cannot upload file even if they have the right permission.

Is there any way to resolve this issue in vsftpd? Would anyone recommend any other ftp program which could resolve this issue? I know users could mount the samba shares instead but a lot of web-authoring tools use ftp login.

Thanks.

Here's my conf file

Quote:
local_root=/marketing
write_enable=YES
dirmessage_enable=YES
local_enable=YES
chroot_local_user=YES
anonymous_enable=NO
anon_world_readable_only=YES
syslog_enable=YES
vsftpd_log_file=/var/log/vsftpd.log
connect_from_port_20=YES
pam_service_name=vsftpd
listen=YES
ssl_enable=NO
