vmware issue


Dear Team,

I have installed vmware-server 1.0.6-91891 on suse linux 9 and i have installed suse 10 as guest os but i am unabke conncet or ping the machien from host to guest and vica versa ,same i tried with winodws to windows os its working fine please suggest me what settings need to be done to work it properly

Did you configure the networking in vmware. I think you missed it.

Run ./configure from the location where you installed vmware and keenly follow the prompts on the screen.

If you have already configured networking, what kind of network have you chosen like bridge, nat or what? try this command

/etc/init.d/network restart
Did you give a valid ip in the guest machine or not? Check even that.
