View other Users Shells in Realtime
All,
Hello. Is there a way for me to view other users shells in real time? So when I am assisting users or another member on the IT staff and they are in a shell it would be very beneficial to see what they are doing in the shell, in realtime, so I can assist them. As an FYI, there is no GUI because we are running in runlevel 3 on CentOS/RHEL5. /dumbsheep |
You'd have to have them run their stuff in the "screen" utility. That would allow you to attach to the "screen" session at need.

The "screen" program is the way to go for this. I found this link by googling for
"linux screen terminal two users" http://www.linux.com/feature/56443 |
