Commands for VCS in both the environments should be same.
Exa. we use Solaris8, 4 node vcs cluster and AIX 5, 3 node clusters. Though I work most of the times on core RHEL and less on clusters, the commands for VCS remain same as per my observations.

Hi,
I agree VCS commands are always the same across platforms. We are using Veritas Cluster on every available platform(except Windows) and commandline usage is everytime the same.
I thank you both PrinceSharma and mesiol for clarifying.since a long time i confused whether VCS commands are same or not, now its clear to me....once again thanks to you

Hi,
What you should be aware of is, the the different plaforms are using different comands and device names for device management during cluster pre-configuration(setting up disk on SAN or LAN interfaces), but inside vcs they will all be handeled the same way (servicegroups, ressouces and so on) by the same commands.
Thank you mesiol, for giving some clarity on VCS preconfiguration may be differ, but VCS commands will be the same for all platforms, I am working for dual platforms solaris and Rhel5, am planning to learn VCS, before that i wanted to confirm whether VCS commands are same for solaris and rhel5,anyhow you confirmed the same.
once again thanks for you.
