Question Using Linux As A Proxy Server To Access Web Content from Outside U.S.

Nothing illegal, mind you, it's just that I spend some time in an Asian country, and would really like to access my "U.S. Only" internet content such as Netflix, Hulu Plus, etc., for which I have paid subscriptions.

I'd like to simply log onto my server here at home, and from there connect to the U.S. websites, so that the content is "officially" streamed to my Linux box, but is accessible by me wherever I am.

I know there are "commercial" services that do this but they DO seem a bit shy of legality. I just want this for my own enjoyment, not for broadcast to the world.

I was thinking about SQUID, but all I can find discusses simply how to use it to control access from your local network - actual RESTRICTION of access, the opposite of what I want.

Anyone have any suggestions? I'm no coder but I'm not averse to some sort of challenge as far as stringing tools together.

Thank you.
