Using Different Port On Apache Using Dyn.Dns.com

I have been trying to set up a webserver using DynDns.com using the latest Apache on Fedora 10. I got it to work within my own network, but nobody from outside could see it. The FTP server worked but not HTTPD. Turns out my ISP blocks port 80 so I've been trying to forward to a different port using Dyn's webhop feature. I am behind a Netgear router, have it set up to use DynDns and have it set to forward HTTP requests to the linuxbox IP address on port 8008, which should be an alternate HTTP port.
I know the request is coming back from DynDns because Mozilla says it is but can't find the server. It even comes back with the redirect address instead of the visitor which is supposed to happen.
I have Apache set to listen to all addresses on ports 80 and 8008. I've turned the firewall and SelLinux off so they aren't getting in the way. I can ping all addresses on all computers on my network so I know they'll all talking. I'm so close. Please, can anyone give me some help? I would be really greatfull, especially being so new to Linux.

No need to have apache listening on port 80 if your ISP blocks it. You are positive that apache is running on 8008 right? Did you try - http://<your_external_ip>:8008 with a web browser?

Actually, I figured it out last night. I had been using the GUI interface and decided to look at the config file directly in etc/http/conf/httpd.conf. I found it strange the date on the file was Apr 2 and not Apr 30 as I had played with it numerous times that day through the GUI.
I knew it had an include file which resides in etc/http/conf.d called httpd.conf.d. Checked there and sure enough, file date is Apr 30. I went back to etc/http/conf/httpd.conf and changed the listen to port 8008 and wala, it works! I don't know why it works like that. Tonight I'll try commenting out the include file in httpd.conf and see what happens.
Thank you for your time and effort. I'll be glad when this learning curve gets a little less steep.
