I am building small 3 nodes computing cluster.
head node n1
slaves n2,n3

user default dir on n1 /exports/home an is exported via NFS.
On n2 and n3 ONLY n1:/exports/home/mpiuser is mounted on /exports/home/mpiuser

/etc/passwd /etc/shadow /etc/hosts are same on all hosts

mpiuser uses 'auth_keys' for ssh.
qustion:
Do i need mount exported other user dirs on slave nodes?
I think regular user can run mpi programm by after/using 'su mpiuser', right?
Or it can cause permission/ownership problems(lets say when writing output files/computed results to users dir)?

Or simly do i need to setup auth_ssh for all users who will compile and run mpi programs? in all nodes?

which is better exporting user dirs or copying data?

and another option might be
there is /data/Output mount chmoded 660 and mpiuser can write there?

exporting users and openmpi install directories. This way you can add remove node machines very easy ...
for exmpale i can put in claster my 8ccore 8gig laptop do calculations and remove it from claster
