users are automatically disconnected from server in ramdom time

Dear all,

I have more than 40 users on my domain. recently, some users are automatically disconnected from server after logging in few minutes. And they can not access server again, unless they restart their computer.

Before these errors happed, I have edited in netlogon.bat. After editing, my account is automatically disconnected, so I changed every in netlogon.bat to default but this error still happen.

Has Anyone ever met this problem?
Could you please help me?

best regards,
Phearun

How does it concern Linux?

Is it safe to assume that you have a Linux server running Samba as the domain controller?
You haven't provided many details about your network, such as what the clients are. Linux, XP Pro, Vista? Are they different versions of Windows? Is there anything unique about the clients with these problems, such as all are Windows 2000, the others are XP Pro.

Please provide more information on how your Samba server is configured. Are you running a NT style domain, or using LDAP?

Also, include your smb.conf file and the login.bat file you spoke of.

Look in your package manager for the samba-doc package. It contains among others "The Official Samba 3.2.x HOWTO and
Reference Guide". The "Common Errors" section after each chapter and Part V on trouble shooting might be very helpful to you. Also look in the Server's samba logs in /var/log/samba/.
