User Password change and Reverse SSH

I have several remote users that I connect to via reverse ssh. I also have create an standard account for them and assign them a standard password. My question is how can I force the user to reset his password after his first logon? Example: I give test user a temp password of welcome then when he logons on for the first time is prompt him to change it?

Never done this myself but i googled at www.google.com/linux and used the search string ' change password first ssh login ' and got some links that look good. Check that out if you get no other help here.
