Dear Robert,
Ok great since you have used it on what distro are you using it? Where to get the right installation for it some said get it from EPEL some from the website. Where best do you advice to get it from?

I dont know, Im building it from source and creating my own initscript, so don't really know.

Have no idea man, try to search monit package for CentOS.
